ABOUT ME


Valerie is a professional circus artist located in Toronto, Ontario. Valerie has been teaching and performing circus for over 10 years. She specializes in Aerial Hoop, Lollipop Lyra, and Tippy Hoop. She was trained by Oleg Kantemirov and Tatiana Zoubrilina at Wonderful World of Circus that were performers of Moscow State Circus and Cirque du Soleil.
In 2019, Valerie competed in the National wide competition in Laval, Montreal for the Canadian Pole Sports Federation under the Aerial Hoop Professional Senior Woman Level and placed first. Valerie has been hired to perform for a variety of different events, festivals, and companies all over the GTA from; Bravo’ Dance Company, Wonderful World of Circus, Markham Fair, Ontario Pole and Aerial Festival, The Circus Fix, Artists’ Play, Cirque Revolution & Hercinia Arts Collective.

Valerie is also a filmmaker and photographer. She is the co-founder of Black Wolf Artistry which is a multi-disciplinary arts company specializing in storytelling through video and photography. At 6 years old, Valerie began her passion for the arts and over the years gained experience working with all types of mediums professionally such as Film/TV (“Altar Boy” Feature Film, “The Sean Ward Show” Online Media), Photography (“That's Amore” Online Media/TLN), Circus Arts (“A Million Dreams” - Borris & Patricia Vdovine, “The Circus Show” - Bravo Dance Company, “Civitas” - Wonderful World of Circus, “Markham Fair” - Cirque Mystique) & Visual Art. Valerie strives to combine multiple art forms to create pieces of work that audiences can connect to and share a passion in. Valerie will be directing and performing in a collectively created devised circus, art & theatre show
